About Me

I have a doctorate (Ph.D.) degree in couple and family therapy from Purdue University in addition to a master’s degree in counseling psychology. I also have had continuing education and training over many years in the therapy approaches I use.

I taught and did research as a professor at Arizona State University for 27 years. My work as a researcher is the basis for my commitment to use science based approaches to therapy. I have taught and supervised therapists at the university and in other settings.

I have maintained a part time private practice for over thirty years. I am licensed as a marriage and family therapist in Arizona (license number: AZ MFT-0153)

I am sometimes consulted by those who wish to integrate their spirituality or Christian faith with their therapy.

I am married and have three adult daughters.
