family therapy

With families facing difficulties with children’s, teens’, or other adult family members’ behavior, I use a family systems approach to help families change how they interact and arrive at workable solutions.

I help family members have the needed but previously avoided conversations and take necessary actions. For some families this may involve developing stronger connections. For other families this may mean marking stronger boundaries, or establishing who will take the lead, or deciding who is accountable for what.

I’ve also worked with families to address tensions in family businesses and helped families cope with a member with serious mental illness.
